POSITION DUTIES

  • Ability to read and interpret fiber diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Ability to fusion splice, install Hot Melt Connectors
  • Ability to think logically and problem solve
  • Experience with Tyco, PLP, 3M and equivalent Fiber Optic Enclosures
  • Knowledge of working with wall & rack mount outside plant buried fiber optics cable fiber distribution panel.
  • Passion for technology and proven ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of EXFO OTDR and Power Meter
  • Possessing knowledge to perform tasks such as safe equipment operation, inspection & maintenance as needed
  • Must be a team player and able to take directions
  • Able to work unsupervised at times
  • Load material or equipment for transport from show-up yard to job site and secure as needed
  • Other duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School education or equivalent preferred
  • OSHA 10 Certified preferred
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools
